Ocean Care's mission is to preserve the coral reefs and marine life surrounding St Maarten. The foundation endeavors to protect St Maarten's underwater landscape and in addition helps other local foundations in their quest. The aims of Ocean Care Foundation:

• To raise awareness of the ocean and in particular the coral reefs; its value and vulnerability.
• Help preserve existing reefs and create artificial reefs.
• Initiate projects to make and keep the ocean healthy; to protect the island and marine areas from erosion and the dangers of the rising sea level.
